Intel Capital Invests $60M In 15 Startups
Intel Capital has invested $60M in 15 startups, the company said on Thursday, as part of its latest batch of investments. The new funding brings its total invested in companies this year to more than $566M. All fifteen of the companies were in the data area, focused on data anlysis, capture, management, and security. Intel's invest investment were in Amenity Analytics (text analytics); Bigstream (Apache Spark acceleration); LeapMind (neural networks); Synthego (genome engineering); AdHawk Microsystems (eye tracking); Trace (sports AI); Bossa Nova Robotics (autonomous service robots); EchoPixel (3D medical visualization); Horizon Robotics (open, embedded AI); Reniac (IO optimization for the cloud); TileDB (big data); Alcide (network security); Eclypsium (defense against firmware, hardware, and supply chain attacks); Intezer (cybersecurity based on biological immune systems); and Synack (crowdsourced white hat hacking).
