San Jose-based VitalConnect, a developer of wearable biosensors used for wireless monitoring in both hospitals as well as for remote monitoring of patients, has bumped its Series C funding to $38M, the company said on Tuesday. The funding was led by MVM and Baxter Ventures. VitalConnect had announced the first close of the Series C in May of this year. VitalConnect develops a wearable biosensor which monitors eight different vital signs. The company said the new funding will go towards launching its wearable biosensor in hospitals and outpatient settings across the nation. Nersi Nazari is CEO and founder of VitalConnect, which has now raised $72M in total since it was launched in 2011.
