Cloudflare Acquires Neumob
San Francisco-based
Cloudflare
announced this morning that it has acquired Sunnyvale-based
Neumob
, a startup developing mobile virtual private network (VPN) software. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Cloudflare says it plans to integrate Neumob's technology into its global network. In the meantime, Cloudflare said it has discontinued Neumob's service as it moves its server components onto Cloudflare's own network, and will relaunch the service under a new name. Neumob was venture backed by Accel Partners, Shasta Ventures, Eniac Ventures and Lightbank Ventures.
