DNAnexus, a developer of biomedical information and data management software, said today that it has raised $58M in a financing round. The funding was led by Foresite Capital, and also included Microsoft, GV (formerly Google Ventures), TPG Biotech, WuXi NextCODE, Claremont Creek Ventures, and MidCap Financial. The company said the new funds go to accelerate expansion. The company develops technology used for biomedical informatics and data management. Richard Daly is CEO of DNAnexus.
