San Francisco-based on-demand grocery store delivery service

said on Tuesday that it has acquired
Unata
, a provider of while-label, grocery software for brick and mortar retailers. Financial details of the buy were not announced. Unata is based in Toronto, where it will remain as an independent subsidiary of Instacart. The companies said that Unata's clients include Lowes Foods, SpartanNash, Raley's, along with others.
