NVCA Addresses Sexual Harassment In Venture Capital With New Resources
The National Venture Capital Association, the industry group which represents the venture capital industry, is taking aim at sexual harassment issues in the industry with a new set of reference documents for startups and venture firms. According to the NVCA, it has released a set of sample human resources politices for addressing harassment and discrimination, a set of "best practices" for addressing those issues, and a sample "code of conduct" policy. The NVCA said it created the documents as a reaction to news reports of incidents of sexual harassment involving venture investors. The new documents are available for free on the NVCA's website.
