PROCEPT BioRobotics Gets $118M For Surgical Robots
Redwood Shores-based PROCEPT BioRobotics, a developer of surgical robots designed to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), has raised $118M in an equity funding round, the company said on Wednesday. The funding was led by Viking GLobal Investors LP, and also included Perceptive Advisors and CPMG, Inc. BioRobotics led by CEO Nikolai Aljuri, Ph.D.
