Pleasanton-based
Evident.io, a developer of cybersecurity and compliance automation software, has been acquired by Santa Clara-based
Palo Alto Networks, in a deal worth $300M in cash. Palo Alto Networks said that Evident.io's co-founders, Tim Predergast and Justin Lundy, will join the company as part of the buy. Evident.io was venture backed by such backers as In-Q-Tel, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Bain Capital, True Ventures and Venrock. Evident.io had raised somewhere north of $49M in total funding.
