Francisco Partners announced this morning that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire
Bomgar, a developer of secure access software. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. Bomgar, whcih is based in London, was previously owned by another private equity investor, Thoma Bravo. Francisco Partners said the acquisition will expand its cybersecurity portfolio. Bomgar, which was founded in 2003, sells its access management software into the enterprise market, and says it has more than 13,000 customers.
