DocuSign Acquires SpringCM
San Francisco-based DocuSign, the provider of electronic signature software, said on Tuesday that it has agreed to acquired SpringCM, a provider of cloud-based document generation and contract lifecycle management software. DocuSign said it will pay approximately $220M in cash for DocuSign. DocuSign said the deal will help it broaden its solutions beyond e-signatures, to other parts of the agreement process. SpringCM's venture backers include Foundation Capital, North Bridge Venture Partners, and Silicon Valley Bank, among others.
