Snowflake Computing Finds $450M For Data Warehouse Efforts
San Mateo-based Snowflake Computing said on Thursday that it has raised $450M in a big growth funding round, which was led by Sequoia Capital and also included Altimeter Capital, Capital One Growth Ventures, ICONIQ Capital, Madrona Venture Group, Redpoint Ventures, Sutter Hill Ventures and Wing Ventures, plus Meredith Capital. The company says it now has a pre-money valuation of $3.5 billion. Snowflake offers cloud-based data warehouse services. Snowflake's CEO is Bob Muglia.
