Report: Uber Eyes Bird, Lime For Expansion
Ridesharing giant Uber is considering a major deal to buy either on-demand scooter rental service Bird or Lime, according to a report this morning. According to The Information, Uber has been holding talks with both Bird and Lime about acquiring one of the companies in what would be a multi-billion dollar deal. The report says that Uber has not yet made a decision of which, if any, company to buy, in order to help it expand its own, recently launched scooter rental service.
