Uber Eyes Digital Mapping Service Here
San Francisco-based Uber is looking to further boost the company's mapping expertise, with the acquisition of Nokia's mapping service, Here, according to a report. Uber--which acquired mapping service DeCarta in March--has apparently bid as much as $3 billion for Nokia's business. The move was reported by the New York Times on Thursday. Uber is apparently competing against a consortium of German automakers for Here.
