San Francisco-based Spigit, which develops social collaboration and "innovation management" software for the enterprise market, has been acquired by Planview, a developer of work and resource management software. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. Spigit was based in San Francisco. Planview said the innovation management softwar from Spigit will bring new capabilities to its customers. Spigit's software was used by enterprises for social collaboration and crowdsourcing of information from employees. The company's investors included Investor Growth Capital Ltd. and Warburg Pincus LLC.
