NETGEAR Buys CP Secure
San Jose-based NETGEAR said late yesterday that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquired CP Secure, Inc., a provider of Internet security software. According to NETGEAR, it will pay $14.0M in cash for CP Secure's assets, plus up to $3.5M in earn out. CP Secure, which is based in Nanjing, China, develops software used for web filtering and email security. According to NETGEAR, CP Secure's CEO, Shaung Ji, will be come VP of Engineering for security products at the firm.
