Synopsys Buys SIGMA-C Software AG For $20.5M
Mountain View-based Synopsys has acquired a German provider of semiconductor manufacturing simulation software, the company said today. The deal was worth $20.5M in cash. SIGMA Software AG is a Munich-based company that provides software for optical lithography, e-beam lithography, and next-generation lithography. Synopsys said that the acquisition will enable tighter integration of 3D lithography with its semiconductor design tools.
