Synopsys Buys Ciranova
Mountain View-based Synopsys, the provider of design and verification software for the semiconductor industry, said this morning that it has acquired Ciranova, a provider of electric design automation software. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Synopsys said the acquisition would adds Ciranova's technology and engineering talent to its custom IC solution team. Ciranova had been venture backed by Alloy Ventures, AsiaTech Management, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys, and US Venture Partners.
