Foster City-based SolarCity, a provider of solar power solutions, has received $10M in a funding round from Paypal founder Elon Musk. The firm said it will use the investment to fund expansion in operations, research and development, as well as marketing efforts. SolarCity develops photovoltaic systems installation projects. Musk is the principle investor in the firm and will join as chairman of the firm.
