Fat Spaniel Scores $7M
San Jose-based Fat Spaniel Technologies has raised $7M in a Series A funding. Funding came from DFJ Element, along with Chrysalix Energy. Fat Spaniel is developing data communications and monitoring services for the energy industry, focused on photovoltaic and other alternative energy technology. The firm said that the funding included both a $3.5M initial investment from DFJ Element in April, and an additional $3.5M investment from DFJ Element and Chrysalix.
