Fat Spaniel, a developer of software used for remote monitoring and asset management of renewable energy installations, has been acquired by inverter firm
Power One. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Fat Spaniel was based in San Jose, and venture backed by Applied Ventures, Chrysalix Energy, DFJ Element, Element Venture Partners, Ignition Partners, and Pacific Corporate Group. Fat Spaniel had raised somewhere around $30M in funding.
