Oracle Buys SPL
Redwood Shores-based Oracle announced this morning that it has made another acquisition, this time, acquiring SPL WorldGroup, a provider of revenue and operations management software for the utilities industry. SPL was acquired from a group of private equity funds managed by GFI Energy Ventures LLC. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. SPL delivers software used by public sector utilities to manage customer care and billing, asset management, worforce management, and other components of the business, including tax management. The acquisition is the second for Oracle this week.
