Sling Media Hires Hirschorn, White For New Unit
San Mateo-based Sling Media has hired Jason Hirschorn and Benjamin White from MTV Networks to head up a new media group in New York. Sling said that the new Sling Media Entertainment Group will focus on creating "next-generation" entertainment experiences for the Slingbox community. Jason Hirschorn was most recently at TripleH Media Advisors, and was Chief Digital Officer at MTV Networks. Ben White was most recently Vice President of Digital Media for MTV Networks. Sling is a provider of video "placeshifting" devices used to record and watch television.
