San Jose-based Super Micro has priced the firm's initial public offering, saying today that it will offer 8,000,000 shares of its common stock at $8.00 per share. The firm will be listed on the Nasdaq Global Market under the symbol SMCI. Super Micro is a provider of rack-optimized servers. The company's IPO is being underwritten by Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, UBS Securities, and Needham & Company.
