PixSense Gets Investment From Qualcomm
Santa Clara-based PixSense, a firm developing video compression technology for cell phones, said today that it has received a round of strategic funding led by QUALCOMM Ventures. The firm said the round will be used to grow its corporate presence with wireless carriers. PixSense develops technology targeted at reducing file size of photos and videos, to encourage uploading of those photos to social networking and other web sites.
