Atheros Communications Acquired By Qualcomm
San Jose-based Atheros Communications, the developer of networking equipment, has officially become part of Qualcomm, Qualcomm said Tuesday. The deal was worth $3.1 billion. Qualcomm and Atheros initially announced the deal in January. Atheros becomes Qualcomm Atheros, Inc., which will be headed by Dr. Craig H. Barratt, the former CEO and President of Atheros.
