Mountain View-based Synopsys, a developer of semiconductor design software, said Monday that it has acquired ArchPro Design Automation. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Milpitas-based ArchPro Design Automation develops software used for addressing power management challenges in chip design, and also operates design centers in Bangalore, India. ArchPro has raised $5.5M in venture capital funding from Intel Capital, Entrepia Ventures, and Sage Technology Ventures.
