Fiberxon Acquisition Completes
The $131M acquisition of Santa Clara-based Fiberxon by MRV Communications has completed, according to MRV Communications. MRV said today that its subsidiary, Luminent, has closed on its acquisition of Fiberxon. Both firms play in the optical networking transceiver market for metropolitan area network equipment. The cash and stock deal was originally announced in January. The firms will combine into a single company focused on manufacturing of optical transceivers for the telecommunications market.
