Digg Signs Microsoft
Digg, the popular online news recommendation service, said today that the firm has signed on Microsoft as a new partner to sell and serve ads on Digg. Kevin Rose, the firm's CEO, said on the firm's blog that the deal is similar to the one that Facebook signed with Microsoft last year. Microsoft said that it will be the exclusive provider of display and contextual advertising on the site. Microsoft replaces Federated Media, which Rose said will continue to work with the firm on integrated sponsorships and custom programs.
