Ugenie Launches Textbook Search Site
San Bruno-based Ugenie said yesterday that it has launched a new online tool that allows college students to find textbooks for their college courses. The venture-backed startup, which has received funding from BlueRun Ventures and Sierra Ventures, said that the tool will provide textbooks for courses at 1,130 U.S. and Canadian colleges and universities. The firm's search engine also powers textbook search at online retailers AbeBooks and Powell's Books.
