Kongregate Scores $5M For Games Site
San Francisco-based Kongregate said this morning that it has raised $5M in a venture funding round, for its online games site. The round was led by Greylock Partners. Kongregate operates an online web site focused on web games, including community, user-uploaded games, and independent game developers. The firm generates revenues through advertising, and splits its advertising revenue with game developers who upload their Flash-based games to the site.
