Kongregate Buys Synapse Games
San Francisco-based Kongregate said last week that it has acquired Synapse Games, the developer of such games as War Metal Tyrant, Global Assault, Castaway Cove, and other titles. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Kongregate said that Synapse will continue to build titles for Kongregate's service. Synapse Games was founded in 2009 in Chicago, by Alex Reeve, and had 22 employees.
