Barracuda Networks Acquires Netcontinuum
Campbell-based Barracuda Networks said Monday that it has acquired NetContinuum, a provider of web application firewalls. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. NetContinuum's products provide web application security, SSL acceleration, and traffic management; Barracuda is a provider of email and web security appliances. Barracuda said that the majority of NetContinuum's 75 employees have joined the firm's team. NetContinuum was advised by Updata Advisors in the deal. NetContinuum was venture backed by Adams Street Partners, Invus Group, Menlo Ventures, MKS Ventures, NIF Ventures/Daiwa Securities Group and Palomar Ventures.
