San Jose-based Network General Corporation has been acquired by NetScout, in a $205M deal, NetScout announced Thursday. Westford, Mass.-based NetScout said that it is in a definitive agreement to acquire Network General Corporation, a maker of IT management software used for troubleshooting network devices and IT services. The deal was a combination of cash, stock, and debt, and included six million shares of NetScout stock, $50M in cash, plus $100M in debt financing.
