Network General Acquisition Completes
The acquisition of San Jose-based Network General by NetScout has been completed, NetScout said Thursday. The deal was worth approximately $206M. Massachusetts-based NetScout Systems said that it will immediately begin its planned integration of the companies' technologies and operations. The deal was financed by Silver Lake Partners, TPG, and Integral Capital Partners, in the form of debt and equity. Network General was a provider of packet level network analysis and data mining tools.
