Zennstrom Leaves Skype
San Jose-based eBay said Monday morning that Skype founder Niklas Zennstrom has resigned as the firm's CEO. Zennstrom becomes non-executive chairman of Skype's board. eBay said that Michael Van Swaaij, Chief Strategy Officer of eBay, will become acting CEO of Skype until a replacement is found. eBay said it has retained Ruseell Reynolds Associates for the search. eBay also said that Henry Gomez, President of Skype, has returned as SVP of Corporate Affairs at eBay.
