Serious Materials Gains $50M
Sunnyvale-based Serious Materials said Thursday that it has raised $50M for its efforts to develop green building materials. The firm said it raised the new investment from New Enterprise Associates, Foundation Capital, and Rustic Canyon Partners. Serious Materials said the funding will go towards a manufacturing facility for the company's replacement for gypsum drywall and insulating windows; the firm's products are based on zero CO2 production techniques.
