Serious Materials Gains $60M
Sunnyvale-based Serious Materials, a developer of green building materials, announced today that it has raised $60M in a Series C financing round. The round was led by Mesirow Financial, and also included new investors Enertech Capital, Cheyenne Partners, and Saints Capital. Prior investors New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Foundation Capital, Rustic Canyon Partners, Navitas Capital, and Staenberg also invested in the round. The firm said the funding will go towards growth and development of its building products. Tom Galuhn of Mesirow joins the board along with the funding.
