Macrovision, a Santa Clara-based provider of digital video technology and services, and CinemaNow said today that the two have inked a technology deal. The firms said that Macrovision's Connected Platform technology, which is used by set-top box providers, digital television, and network attached storage devices manufacturers, will connect into CinemaNow's video on demand services. The deal means that consumers will be able to download CinemaNow content to Macrovision hardware. The content includes movies, TV shows, and music videos. Financial impact and details of the deal were not disclosed.
