Conduit Channels In $8M
Redwood Shores-based Conduit, a developer of toolbars of online web sites, said late Wednesday that it has raised $8M in a Series B round of funding from Benchmark Capital. Conduit said the funding will go towards expanding adoption of its on-demand, community toolbar service. Conduit operates a service which allows web publishers to create their own, branded software toolbars. Conduit has previously raised $2.0M from Yozma Venture Capital Group, an Israeli venture capital group; the firm did not disclose if Yozma was involved in this funding round.
