Conduit: 250,000 App Publishers, 170M Users
San Mateo-based Conduit, which makes web toolbars and other software for web publishers, said today that it has reached more than 250,000 app publishers and 170 million users in its Conduit Network. Conduit's service allows web publishers to create custom toolbars and other widgets which stay in a web users' browser, as a "browser bar". The firm also said it now has over 40 web publishers with more than one million users each, and that applications in the entertainment, news, and social media are the most popular in its application marketplace.
