Redwood City-based ePlanet Ventures said Wednesday afternoon that it has invested in a Series A round for Palringo, a provider of mobile instant messaging and voice chat services. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. Palringo is based in Newcastle, UK. Palringo offers push-to-talk functionality and connects into Internet-based instant messaging services such as Google Talk and ICQ.
