ePlanet Ventures Into Pakistan
Redwood City-based ePlanet Ventures said Friday that it has invested in Pakistani firm Naseeb Networks. Naseeb Networks provides online recruiting, social networking, classifieds and related services in Pakistan. Amount of investment was not disclosed. The round also included Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Ayaz ul Haque of ePlanet and Mohanjit Jolly of DFJ have joined Naseeb's board of directors. Naseebb has offices in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and San Jose. The round is the first disclosed for ePlanet in Pakistan; the firm has at least three investments in India, along with significant investments in China and South Korea.
