Sun Microsystems Buys innotek
Santa Clara-based Sun Microsystems said Tuesday that it has acquired innotek, a provider of open source virtualization software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. innotek is based in Stuttgart, Germany, and develops a software package called VirtualBox, which enables developers to build, test, and run applications on multiple operating system environments, including Windows, Linux, Mac, and Solaris operating systems.
