Sunext Design Acquired By Broadcom
Sunnyvale-based Sunext Design, a firm which develops front end chips for the Blu-Ray Disc market, has been acquired by Broadcom. Broadcom said this morning that it would pay $48M in cash from Sunext, which is the U.S. subsidiary of Taiwanese firm Sunext Technology Company Limited. Broadcom said that a substantial portion of the consideration would go to Sunext Technology for licesne rights for its technology.
