Teknovus Acquired By Broadcom For $123M
Petaluma-based Teknovus, a developer of Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) chipsets and software, has been acquired by Broadcom in a deal worth $123M. According to Broadcom, it will pay $123M in cash for Teknovius, which develops EPON chipsets used for delivering fiber-to-the-home in Asia and elsewhere. Broadcom said the buy will add a key element to its existing offerings. The deal is expected to close in the first or second quarter of the year.
