Oorja Protonics Emerges From Stealth
Fremont-based Oorja Protonics, a venture funded developer of fuel cells, said today that it has emerged from stealth mode. The firm is venture backed by Sequoia Capital and DAG Ventures. Oorja said that it has developed a direct methanol fuel cell technology, which eliminates barriers associated with hydrogen fuel cell adoption. The firm claims that it can product reliable, affordable and compact fuel cells which are ten to one hundred times more powerful than existing methanol fuel cells.
