WaveMaker, which develops open source tools for web application development, said Tuesday evening that it has raised $4.5M in funding. The funding came from Hummer Winblad, Worldview Technology Partners, and Sippl Investments. The firm said the funding will go towards development of its open source community. The firm has added Roger Sippl, founder and former CEO of Informix Software, to its board of directors along with the investment. Sippl Investments is the investment firm of Roger Sippl. WaveMaker was previously known as ActiveGrid.
