InvenSense Pulls In $19M
Sunnyvale-based InvenSense said today that it has raised $19M in a Series C funding round. The firm, which develops motion sensors for the portable consumer electronics market, said the round was led by Sierra Ventures. Other investors in the firm included FoxConn, Inventec Appliances Corp, Skylake Ventures, DoCoMo Capital, and Venturetech Alliance. Ben Yu of Sierra Ventures joins the firm's board as part of the funding. InvenSense's motion sensors are used for 3D games and gesture-enabled mobile phones. The round brings the company's total raised to $38M.
