Weather Underground Enhances Weather Maps
San Francisco-based Weather Underground, a provider of online, weather information and forecasts, said today that it has rolled out a new, interactive weather map feature for its site. The new feature--which it cllas WUnderMap--allows uers to select spefici layers to plot and overlay on a map. The information includes animated radar, current conditions, thunderstorm and tornado warnings, webcam images, and satellite images. Weather Underground provides free weather information to consumers, along with providing its data and services to other websites and newspapers.
