Focus Enhancements Buys Wireless Audio IP
Campbell-based Focus Enhancements said today that it has entered into an agreement to buy certain intellectual property rights for a wireless audio product chipset from AudioMojo, which is owned by Hallo Development Co. Focus Enhancements is a developer of ultrawideband wireless technology. AudioMojo's chipset is a prototype wireless audio product. Focus Enhancements said it expects to bring markets based on AudioMojo's prototype in the first quarter of 2009 for sampling, with production in mid-2009. The deal includes two patent applications and rights to file four provisional patents; the firm said the deal includes 1.8M shares of its common stock plus a share of future sales of the chipsets.
